This collaboration includes film by Caitlin Horsmon, choreography by Gary Abbot and original music composed by Mara Gibson, inspired by Wallace Steven’s “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.” The performance will take place at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway Kansas City, MO 64113.
The performance is part of the ArtSounds series, a collaboration between KCAI and the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This is the 10th year of ArtSounds performances.

Fred Moten is an author, poet, and professor of English at the University of California, Riverside. He will be speaking as part of the college's "Current Perspectives" lecture series in Epperson Auditorium.
